eSCM ASSESSMENT STANDARD v1.0

The scorecard

The eSCM assessment standard 1.0

The assessment standard consists of two things:

An eSCM scorecard (questions with a maturity scale)
Performance indicators: this has two areas
e-capability indicators
Supply chain performance indicators (SCOR metrics).

Inputs to developing the scorecard have come from multiple sources

What is the Scorecard?

The scorecard is a series of questions on collaborative supply chain practices
which are to be measured against an e-maturity scale

The flow of questions follows the SCOR* model:
The scorecard has 5 key sections – Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Return – based on Level 1 SCOR Processes
Each section has subsections based on SCOR Level 2 – e.g. Plan supply chain, Plan source, Make to stock, Deliver make-to-order etc
Each of these subsections have SCOR Level 3 process elements – e.g. Aggregate supply chain resources (P1.2), Schedule product deliveries (S2.1), Route shipment (D2.6)

Each of these process elements at SCOR Level 3 have one or more questions attached which aim to measure the level of collaboration and e-maturity of the organisation
Responses to these questions can be compared to the available choice of response to identify the score for that question which can range from 0 to 400.
* The scorecard is based on the Supply-Chain Operations Reference-model (SCOR) 5.0 and uses the supply chain processes outlined in the model. We would like to acknowledge and thank the Supply Chain Council for allowing us to use the SCOR model for developing the scorecard.

The Scorecard profile

The questions may appear numerous. But if you go through the selection of processes at Level 2 based on what is relevant for your business, you will have a much shorter list of questions
Reason: Under Source, Make and Returns there are sub-sections for make-to-stock, make-to-order and engineer-to-order categories. These are further sub-divided into external partners and internal partners.
